One of the most spectacular and popular free beaches in the Danube Bend is located in the municipality of Dunabogdány. It can be reached by car from Route 11 or by scheduled bus from Budapest and Esztergom. Bus stops are located 5-10 minutes away in both directions. There are a limited number of free parking spaces available for those who arrive early.
The beach is sandy and bordered by shaded areas. The bathing area is marked with buoys. Certified children’s toys await the little ones at the beach. After registration, camping and kayak/canoe mooring are available in the designated area next to the beach. Pets are not allowed on the beach, but they are allowed in the camping area.
Toilets are available to visitors in a civilized environment, with separate family toilets, and are marked with appropriate signs.
People with reduced mobility can freely use the beach and the facilities.
The catering establishments tailor their offerings to the needs of all age groups. In addition to the Szúnyog Buffet, the Part Restaurant, and the Forgó Restaurant, the Beer Garden also welcomes guests, as does the Heim Bakery, located 200 meters away, with its abundant selection of goods.
The Dunabogdány Community Event Hall is located near the beach, where local residents and visitors can enjoy a variety of programs from spring to fall. Information about the programs is available on the websites of the local government and the Cultural Center, as well as on their Facebook pages.
