The memorial museum dedicated to two significant Hungarian painters of the 20th century—the tragically fated Imre Ámos and his wife, Margit Anna—opened in 1984 in the former Paulovics House. The artworks entered the museum’s collection as a bequest from Margit Anna during her lifetime. In accordance with her wishes, Margit Anna’s earthly remains were laid to rest in the museum’s garden in 1991.
