The RegenTag Studio Gallery is an open-minded community creative hub and exhibition space. Our studio is also available for rent to host workshops and events. Visitors to Regentag have the opportunity to create independently or take part in guided sessions. We aim to reflect the diversity that defines the art scene of Szentendre. Therefore, we strive to welcome as many creators and artists as possible to host sessions and exhibitions in our space.
Our vision connects to our name in two ways: on one hand, it is a nod to Friedensreich Hundertwasser, whose ship bore this name. Hundertwasser is a shared favorite of ours, both for his visual art and his activism. For us, his work carries the message that art is free, artistic disciplines can blend, and anyone can be a creator. On the other hand, the name Regentag can also be taken literally—it means “rainy day,” a time when “time stands still” outside, allowing us to immerse ourselves in peaceful creation.
