The Baptist Congregation of Szentendre was established in 1955 and was officially recognised by town authorities in 1963 as a branch congregation of the Baptist Congregation of Tahitótfalu. At the beginning, services were held in members’ homes. In 1986, based on the plans of Baptist architect Győző Csereklye, the congregation started the construction of a church and became independent in 1987. The church was inaugurated in 1988.
The building has 140-150 seats in the congregation room and the gallery. The immersion font was placed under the pulpit.
The church is open only during services.
