The Open-Air Museum of Ethnography (Skanzen) founded its special collection of fine arts and Skanzen Gallery in 2003. An important mission of Skanzen is to showcase the diversity of contemporary art. The gallery allows the Museum to exhibit works of art by Szentendre-based contemporary artists.
