Reflection on Béla Bartók’s Romanian Folk Dances. Written for piano in 1915, the work is an adaptation of drums, bass, and piano. Folk life images. The show is about our daily lives. We can track a community’s relationship to each other through different feelings and items. In the play, expressionism, and irony, as well as deliberate simplicity, musically counterpoint complexity, and coexist well.
