The festival has been organised since 2013 as part of Szentendre Open Round the Clock. In addition to culinary delights, the festival offers musical, cultural and children’s programmes to visitors. More than 20 well-known wineries will be offering their produce on the promenade by the Danube and several wine-related thematic walks and boating programmes await wine buffs.
The wine festival, which was revamped in terms of its concept, date and place in 2017, is the closing event of the summer festival season in Szentendre. Wine and jazz will be the protagonists of the last weekend of September in the town centre and in the pedestrian street, Dumtsa Jenő utca. With several cultural programmes, concerts on two stages and thematic walks, the festival gives an excellent opportunity to chill out. It is also a great opportunity for Szentendre to show its Mediterranean face and wine-making traditions.
