The town has organised the traditional children’s day celebration for years. The event is not just for small children but also for the elderly, schoolchildren and teenagers. Interesting children’s programmes, concerts, theatre performances, local sports and dance group performances as well as gastronomic and handicraft artists await children and families during this weekend.
During the festival, Szentendre transforms into Lurkócia Children’s Republic managed by different ministries like a real country. Children can put their abilities, creativity and inventiveness to the test in 8 stations or ministries (Ministry of Sport and Agility, Ministry of Animal Lovers, Health, Creativity, Tales, Game Park, Strategic Games and Relaxing).
