This is the studio and gallery of Krisztina Szente potter. She has been working with clay for 20 years. Szente is one of the most important ceramic artists in Hungary today. Other than participating in National and International art, folk art, and ceramic competitions, she is also frequently invited to teach at universities in China.
Her work concentrates on the renewal of traditional Hungarian ceramic art. An important element in her work is the innovative tendency toward the art form.
She tries to keep alive the tradition while adding contemporary functionality. All of her pieces are made for daily modern usage. The pieces are both functional and decorative creating a continuity between past and present.
